Warriors coach Michael Nees has named the Warriors squad for the upcoming AFCON Qualifiers to be played in September.
Zimbabwe is set to play away to Kenya at Mandela National Stadium in Uganda on September 6 before hosting Cameroon at the same venue four days later.
Nees’ squad saw the bouncing back of Warriors captain Marvelous Nakamba who missed all the international games this year due to an injury.
Other than the Luton Town midfielder, veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi who plays for Marumo Gallants in South Africa and Prince Dube who plays for Young Africa are some of the players making their return to the squad after quite a period.
Nees squad consists of seven local players with Ngezi Platinum Stars being the most represented with two players, Richard Hachiro (Midfielder) and Obriel Chirinda (Striker).
With the new Warriors gaffer yet to name his 1st assistant coach, Nees will be working with Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Takesure Chiragwi who is also the men’s under 23 head coach.
