The Johane Masowe eChishanu (Muonde assembly) under Madzibaba Shingirayi Gwatidzo (affectionately known as Edborn in apostolic circles) has on Monday donated food assortments worth RTGS73k to Chivhu general hospital in their quest to feed the sick and ensure nutritional sufficiency for all confined in Zimbabwe’s healthcare giving facilities.
While receiving the assortments during the handover, Chivhu general hospitals Matron, Mrs. Chiratidzo Tsuro applauded the gesture by Vapostori claiming it will go a long way in transforming the livelihood of the sick and it is commendable for churches to complement efforts by health personnel to look into their welfare.
Tsuro said, “We really appreciate and applaud strides that have been shown by apostolic church, Johane Masowe eChishanu in remembering that there several souls that are failing to make ends meet due to sickness and that is giving hope and unlocking their value in instilling them with confidence that one day they will be walking out of this place rejoicing.
“As an institution, we call upon stakeholders to show commitment in complementing churchs effort in looking after patients and making sure that they will not feel being deserted and out of place,” Tsuro close remarks.
Madzibaba Edborn, leader of the Johane Masowe eChishanu concurred with Tsuro claiming it should be on every indigenous churchs priority list to facilitate development within the confinements of their operation especially during this pandemic period that several countries are into.
Edborn said, “It is the church’s duty to take care and show love for those unable to fend for their families during this period when the world over is reeling and recuperating from the social and economic impacts of the novel virus which has caused an economic meltdown accompanied by unwarranted strain upon the country’s health delivery framework.
“We are looking forward to constantly make donations that will go a long way in creating a friendly environment that reduces idleness among patients, and sometimes our interaction with them makes a great difference,” Edborn remarks.
