Africa’s Richest Traditional Healer Sekuru Kamwelo Dr Banda has once again intervened in answering the financial plea by many music artistes in Zimbabwe. This comes at a time when most music artistes are being affected by the negative effects brought about by the global pandemic.
As of yesterday, the revered Traditional Healer was spotted at a local wholesale with Stunner.
The duo were hoarding bulky commodities for a newly opened grocery shop meant for Freddy Mwanjalima “Kapfupi”.
A call to rescue musicians during COVID-19 period was initiated by the popular Musician Desmond Chideme aka ‘Stanner’ and Dr Banda intervened to uphold the initiative.
According to Dr Banda, the current times calls for support and unity so that everyone survives from the hardships emanating from the negative impacts of COVID-19.
“We have extended our Programme to our own local musicians because of the current situation of COVID-19 which is affecting everyone. These are the hard times which calls for support from those who are able. Today we diceided to open a shop for our own Kapfupi so that he can make it during COVID-19 period.”
Several music artistes are set to benefit from Sekuru Banda’s philanthropic works as part of his COVID-19 Cushioning Programme.
“We are extending the Programme to many local musicians and we call upon everyone to also remember those in need during these economic hardship moments.”
Sekuru Banda’s philanthropic works became more prominent during the the beginning of COVID-19 lockdown moments in March 2020.
By then, Dr Kamwelo Banda embarked on a nationwide Programme which benefited senior citizens.
