DONALD Mudadi produced a standout performance as Harare giants Dynamos cruised past ZPC Kariba 3-1 in a Chibuku Super Cup match at Rufaro Wednesday.
Mudadi opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a stunning shot before assisting Emmanuel Paga to double Dynamos’ lead in the 20th minute.
Nomore Chinyere then put the ZPC Kariba on the sword in the 57th minute sealing a victory for Dynamos.
Nyasha Gurende ensured ZPC Kariba left Rufaro Stadium with a consolation goal in the 84th minute from a well-taken free kick.
Mudadi’s exceptional display earned him praise from the hard-to-please Dynamos faithfuls, as he mercilessly tore ZPC Kariba’s midfield apart.
Dynamos interim Coach Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigove was pleased with Mudadi’s performance.
“Mudadi since last week has been showing signs of coming back to his real form. I think today he was spot on,” said Chigove.
The victory marked the first time that Dynamos recorded back-to-back wins since their return to Rufaro stadium this year after their one nill win against Chegutu Pirates Sunday.
Since the appointment of Chigowe last month, Dynamos has been showing significant signs of improvement.
With Dynamos beginning the cup defence with a convincing win, Chigove was not entirely pleased with the overall performance of his charges.
He criticised his players’ lapse in concentration which saw ZPC Kariba scoring.
“Pleased with the result but not the overall performance. Lapses in concentration and I think I have a lot of overconfidence. This does not bode well for the future assignments,” said Chigove.
ZPC Kariba coach Newton Chitehwe bemoaned a poor first half which he believed was damaging.
“The first half we did not play well. We let Dynamos play like that and led us to concede two goals. There was a blunder but in the second half we came out very well,” said Chitehwe.
