Marshall Munetsi, born June 22, 1996, is a Zimbabwean international footballer, who plays as a defensive midfielder with Stade de Reims.
Munetsi began his career with the local club Blue Rangers. He then joined the club of Ubuntu Cape Town in July 2015. He played with the Cape Town team, 22 games in the second division, scoring a goal. After a promising season with Cape Town, he catches the eye of the Orlando Pirates, where he signs a five-year contract. However, he was immediately loaned to Baroka FC for one season, in order to gain playing time and experience. With Baroka FC Polokwane, he played 26 matches in the first division, for one goal scored .
Back at the Orlando Pirates, he played with this team 28 games in the first division in two seasons, but without scoring a goal. He ranks with this team, second in the championship on two occasions. During the 2019 offseason, Munetsi is coveted by several European clubs.
He finally signed a four-season contract in favor of the French club Stade de Reims1. On August 24, 2019, he appeared for the first time on the substitutes’ bench for the Reims club, but without coming into play, during a trip to the championship on the lawn of the Stade Brestois (1-0 defeat). He finally played his first match in Ligue 1 on September 1, on the fourth day of the championship, on the occasion of the reception of LOSC Lille.
Munetsi comes into play on the pitch at the very end of the match, replacing his teammate Moussa Doumbia. Reims won with a score of 2 goals to 0. Subsequently, on September 25, he was established for the first time in Ligue 1, during a prestigious meeting against PSG at the Parc des Princes. On this occasion, he stands out by delivering his first decisive pass in the league, to his teammate Hassane Kamara.

Zimbabwe wins the tournament by beating Zambia in the extra-time final (2-4 win).
Munetsi then played five matches within the framework of the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, resulting in two wins, two draws, and one defeat.
He then participated again in the COSAFA Cup in 2019. In this competition, he only played one game, namely, the semi-final return lost to Zambia after a penalty shootout. Zimbabwe are third in the tournament.
Munetsi was then selected by coach Sunday Chidzambwa to participate in the final phase of the African Cup of Nations which takes place in Egypt. During this tournament, he takes part in the three group matches played by his team. With a record of one draw and two defeats, Zimbabwe cannot get past the first round.
After this competition, Munetsi took part in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. On September 10, 2019, he scored his first goal for the national team on this occasion, against the modest Somalia team (3-1 victory).
