Toronto, ON – CineFAM launches the LIMITLESS Program created by award-winning filmmaker, Academy Director Member and CaribbeanTales Media Group founder, Frances-Anne Solomon. This unique program will develop and promote extraordinary, original works by women and non-binary people of colour whose voices are usually vastly under-represented or marginalized within the Canadian media landscape.
In partnership with CaribbeanTales, the CineFAM LIMITLESS Program will help these creatives, guided by established industry mentors, and launch their careers.
This is a nine-month program that offers a safe, supportive digital space for its participants to showcase their work, engage in meaningful discussions, and build connections with like-minded individuals in their field. Thus, supported by the CaribbeanTales/CineFAM Team along with selected mentors, each one will package and present her project — either a feature film or a television series in development — along with a short proof of concept.
LIMITLESS will fill a critical gap in the Canadian Film Industry by enabling access and integration of women and non-binary creators of Colour.
“Follow-through is important and access is necessary. The LIMITLESS program helps myself and the CaribbeanTales & CineFam Team to guide and support women and non-binary people of colour creators to see their projects come to fruition and be seen.”
Frances-Anne Soloman
